Edgar Overby, 85, of Warner died Thursday morning at Country Side Estates, Warner.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Warner First Baptist Church with Revs. Larry Stevenson and Elmer NIx officiating.

Burial will be in Warner Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J. M. Tarkington, J. L. Looper, Chuck Wright, Jeep Hunnicutt, Richard Ralls and Johnson Foreman. Millsap Funeral Service of Webber Falls will direct burial.

Born Dec. 27, 1901, at Eufaula, Overby was the son of J. B. and Nancy Overby. He attended school at Mt. Nebo, west of Warner, and moved to Warner in 1928. He was a carpenter. He was a member of Warner First Baptist Church and IOOF and was a Mason.

His wife, Mae, died in 1979 and a son, W. C. "Dub," died in 1978.

Survivors include a grandson, Shawn, of Oklahoma City; and a brother, Lee, of Santa Nella, Calif.
