Michael Glenn Ashe 10/16/1951 ~ 7/25/2009 Our beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather was born October 16, 1951 to Johnnie Mae Swilley and Palmer Ashe in Lake City, FL. He was the fifth of six children. In 1969 he moved with his family to Green River, UT where he graduated from Green River High School and married Rosemary Brock in 1971. They were blessed with a daughter, Jennifer Ashe Johnson. He attended Salt Lake Community College and received a certificate in Graphic Arts and has proudly worked at Paragon Press for 33 years surrounded by friends. In 1990 he married Peggy Moore and was blessed with three more children Anthony, Talon, and Sheila Penrose. Mike loved to tell jokes and stories always followed by his contagious laugh. Life often placed him in the position of being able to provide service to others. He loved to travel and golf with family and friends. He had a smile that lit up the room and was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his father, brothers Kenneth, Tom, and Al, sister Gail, four children and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and sister Sandy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So. Exit I-15) Viewing will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers contributions are welcome to Project Patch of Garden Valley, ID in Mike's name. Project Patch is a foundation that restores troubled youth located along the rivers edge at the site of Mike's passing. The children of Project Patch and their Chaplain were among the first responders offering their support and prayers during Mike's last moments.
