1934 - Military Honors District Boy's Ambition is Realized at Grave. College Park, Maryland Nov.5. The military honors to which he aspired in life were accorded in death today to Frank Claveloux Jr. of Washington, D.C., 18 year old University of Maryland Freshman. Poor eye sight has prevented his passing the ROTC physical examination but he obtained special permission to drill with the university regiment. He was in uniform Friday when killed in an automobile accident. In deference to his ambition, his parents requested the university to purchase his uniform from the Government that he might be buried in it.
This was done, and six cadet officers bore the uniformed body to the grave through a double line of Claveloux's classmates.
