Robert C. Neblett, was a Virginian by birth, served in the war of 1812 with England, moved to Texas about 1830, participated in the war for Texan independence, and spent the remainder of his life in Grimes county, which he represented in the legislature about 1858. On coming to Texas he settled in Grimes county, being one of the pioneers of this county.
