June L. Baker, 73, of Beloit died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997 in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 21, 1924 in LaCrosse, Wis., the daughter of Howard and Hazel Schmikel Leeson. She married Donald Baker. He died April 4, 1991. June was a homemaker.
She is survived by her one son, Michael R. Baker of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Gloria J. (Marvin) Hooker and Donna J. Rupp, both of Beloit; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Eloda Henry of Kirkland, Wash.; three brothers, Charles Lesson of Forest Park, Ga.; Marshall Leeson of Albany, Ore.; and Harold Leeson; she was also survived by a very dear friend, Marge Schoommaker of Beloit.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister Myrtle.
Prayer services will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, Sept. 10, 1997 in the Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cramston Road, Beloit, followed by a funeral mass of Christian burial at 1 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Thomas R. Doheny officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
