Barbara, daughter of William and Agnes [Waugh] Watson was first married to Joseph Dunbar, Jr., son of Joseph and Doris [Hammond] Dunbar, Sr. Together they had 4 children: Joseph, III "Smokey", Lisa, Kyle and Alexander "Lex". Barbara and Joe divorced and for several years she raised her children on her own.

She married Robert Bellanger, son of John and Grace [Gladden] Bellanger on Dec 30, 1975.

Barbara is buried in the Shehan plot with her mother, Agnes Waugh Watson - who died young.

COLONIE -- Barbara L. Dunbar Bellanger, 70, of Colonie, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, July 25, 2005. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William and Agnes Watson. She was a Colonie resident for over 32 years. Barbara was an L.P.N. at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Doane Stewart School and other health facilities in the area. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed working part-time at L-Ken's Drive Inn. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Bellanger. Barbara is the devoted mother of Joseph J. Dunbar of Colonie, Lisa M. Dunbar of Los Angeles, Calif., Kyle W. Dunbar of Poultney, Vt. and Alexander F. Dunbar of Manhattan. She is the sister of Beverly Wertman and her husband Roger of Latham. She is the cherished grandmother of Nicole T. Dunbar, Joseph J. Dunbar IV, Desiree A. Dunbar, Christie M. Dunbar and Kyle W. Dunbar Jr. Also surviving Barbara are her close friends, Pat Fahlander and her family of Colonie. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Barbara L.
