Jonas Albert Callaham, 76, Klamath Falls, died Friday, Aug. 3, 1993.
Mr. Callahan was born in Lincoln County, Neb., to Carl and Julia Callaham.
He married Opal F. McBride at Weiser, Idaho, June 22, 1940.
Mr. Callaham was a cattle rancher in Idaho, and worked as a planerman and forklift operator in Grants Pass. He moved to Tulelake in 1958, where he was a ditchrider for the Tulelake Irrigation District. He moved to McArthur, Calif., in 1964 and farmed potatoes.
He retired in 1979 and operated a saw sharpening business from his home. He returned to Oregon in 1987. Mr. Callahan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and storytelling.
Surviving are his wife; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Jeanene Callaham, Homedale, Idaho, Richard and Mardelle Callaham, McCall, Idaho, Raymond and Sharon Callaham, Hayward, Calif., sister-in-law, Mary La Grande; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lela and Nels Porter, Grants Pass, Clara Lovitt, Betie and Bill Blenkinsop, Parma Idaho, Sadie and Ed Shultz, Homedale, Idaho; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Chuck Turner, Burney, Calif., Bobbie and Butch Graham, Klamath Falls, Sandy and Buzz Brown, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Teresa Callaham, McArthur, Calif., Mike and Suzie Callaham, Williams, Calif., nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Arthur L. Brown III.
