Erma May Copeland, 94, of Victoria passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was born November 14, 1920 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Clyde and Effie Bruce Bush.

She was a retired medical assistant and a member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca. For a while she worked as a riveter, like "Rosie the Riveter" building airplanes for World War II. She was an active member of the Old Indianola Trail Riders and a life member of the Crossroads Country Cloggers.

Survivors include her daughter, Juana Smith of Victoria; son, Steven Steinbeck of Blanchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Karen Shaw, Jason Steinbeck, Angel Beltran, Clinton Smith and Jaclyn Schmedt; great-grandchildren Nathan Shaw, Erik Shaw, Heather Hamilton, Scottie Steinbeck and Logan Schmedt.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Steinbeck and former husband, Paul Copeland; son, Gary Steinbeck; sister, Margaret Dziech; brother, Melton Bush; and stepsons, Steven Copeland and Kenneth Copeland.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. Casey Dubose and Rev. Dwayne Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
