OBITUARY Yakima, Morning Herald, 5 Jan. 1956 pg 15, Yakima, Washington.
CHILDS, Clyde T. 83, of 304 S. 7th Ave., died in St. Elizabeth Hospital yesterday morning after an extended illness. Born in Center, Iowa, he had been a farmer and grain elevator manager at Adrian, Minnesota, before moving to Yakima 11 years ago. Mr. Childs, whose hobby was woodworking, made several humidors and pencil holders and donated them to the March of Dimes campaign last year. Mr. Childs was a member of the Methodist Church and had been a vocal soloist and with community choral groups. He is survived by his widow, Mary Tinnes Childs; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Tinnes Millikan of Tacoma and two grandchildren, Keith & Keigh have charge of funeral arrangements.
