Wilbur W. Tufts Sr., 86, of Spring City and formerly of Miamisburg, Ohio, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Spring City Care Center.
Born in Franklin, Ohio, he was the son of the late Cyrus Ivan and Edna Marie Zinch Tufts. Wilbur retired from General Motors in 1984 after 20 years of service. He moved to the Spring City community from Miamisburg in 2005. Wilbur was a member of the American Legion Post #165 in Miamisburg and of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Krull Tufts, daughter Ronnee Marie Shields and brother Ivan Eugene Tufts.
Survivors include his sons Wilbur "Bud" W. (Estelle) Tufts Jr. of Crossville and David Tufts of Middletown, Ohio, daughter Sharon Gilbert of Hillsboro, Ohio, sister Mildred McMichael of Miamisburg, Ohio, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
