N. Zayne Anthony, 20, of Central was born on October 12, 1990 in Lufkin and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. He had resided in Central for most of his life.

Zayne was a 2009 graduate of Central High School where he was an active member of the FFA. He was currently attending Angelina College. Zayne was a devoted son, protective brother, loving grandson, and a loyal friend. He loved sports, especially baseball. His love and compassion for animals was unmatched. He enjoyed running, playing golf, cooking, all kinds of music, spending time with family and friends, and playing with his beloved pets, Hershey and Bucky. Zayne accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of eight and was never afraid to let his light shine. He had a contagious smile and never met a stranger. His innate interest in people allowed him to make friends easily. He always had a hug and words of encouragement for those he cared about. His love and devotion to his beloved mother Tanya was an inspiration to all that knew him.

Survivors include his Mom, Tanya; brother, Christian; Granny, Melba; Meme, Wanda Hunt; uncle, Guy Anthony; uncle and aunt, Randy (Sherry) Anthony; aunts, Darla Anthony, Janelle Anthony (Terri Lumus), and Belinda Anthony Clark; cousins, Patrick Fox, Kristin, Paul and Derek Davis, Kyle, Seth, Caleb and Jamie Anthony, James Havard and Tyler Clark; extended family, Michele Hunt, Justin Hunt, Tammy Jennings, David and Barbie Driskell, Laura and Phillip Camp and Edward Best; numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, and a host of friends and co-workers.

Zane was welcomed into Heaven by his PaPa Robert R. Anthony, Paw Michael Hunt and great aunt Gwendolyn Best.

Pallearers will be Travis Parrott, Jared Klein, Cody Corbell, David Maroni, Justin Tapia and John Kerr. Honorary pallbearers will be his brother, cousins, Billy Raines, and friend Gage Richey of the USAAF serving in Afghanistan.

Services for Zayne will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Clawson Assembly of God, with Bro. Kevin Poage and Jeremy Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Clawson Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, memorial condolences may be made in memory of Zayne Anthony at Huntington State Bank.
