Finis G. Bruce, 88, farmer, merchant, real estate agent and former Dyersburg alderman, died Tuesday of cardiac arrest at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Cemetery here.
He had been a Dyersburg alderman in the early 1950s.
He had been a Mason for 50 years and was a member of Hess Lodge, Dyersburg Rotary Club and First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a Sunday school superintendent.
Mr. Bruce, the widower of Suzy Mae Trainhum Bruce, leaves two sons, William F. Bruce of Milan and S.T. Bruce of Memphis; a sister, Mary Evelyn Porter of Jackson; a brother, Horace Bruce of Dyersburg, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
