Edward Osroe "Crip" Willoughby Jr., 83, died Dec. 19, 2000.
Born May 28, 1917, in Ahoskie, N.C., he was the son of the late Ethel Simons and Edward Osroe Willoughby Sr., and brother of the late Russell Willoughby. He was a charter member of Wilroy Baptist Church and was a retired sail maker with Norfolk Naval Shipyard. During World War II, he served in the Air Force and was retired from the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Boyce Willoughby; daughter, Anita Morgan of Newport News; sons, Edward O. Willoughby III of Venice, Calif., and Gary L. Willoughby of Suffolk; sisters, Jessie de Camps of Richmond, Marion Willoughby of San Antonio, Texas, Gladys Menefee of Snead's Ferry, N.C., Claire Beatty of Richmond; brother, Carroll Willoughby of Elizabeth, N.J.; grandchildren, Lindsey Morgan of Richmond and Taylor Morgan of Charlottesville, N.C.
