Mr. Weldon W. Nash, Sr., 94, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2007 after a brief illness. He was born in Calvert, TX on December 19, 1912. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, May 2nd at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd in the Chapel of Osborn. Officiating will be Dr. Bill Rawlins of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jefferson, TX. Interment will follow at Royse City Cemetery on Thursday May 3, 2007.
Mr. Nash was a native of Calvert, TX and a resident of Dallas and Mabank, TX. He was a 1939 graduate of Baylor University. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Nash was a printer and type setter, employed for 30 years, at Southwest Typo Graphics in Dallas, TX, being a part owner when he retired in 1977. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Urbandale, Dallas, TX.
Mr. Nash is survived by his wife of 67 years, Florene Fling Nash of Shreveport, LA; two sons, Weldon Nash Jr. and wife, Mary, of Dallas, TX, and Ronald Nash and wife, Joyce, of Magnolia, AR; two grandchildren, Trey Nash and Chris Nash, both of Dallas, TX; one sister, Gladys Bush of Houston, TX; one brother, Duane Nash of Lubbock, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
