Mrs. Kay W. Casson, 72, of Ocean Springs died Thursday, Spet. 29, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Casson was a native of Franklin, Ind., where she attended Franklin College. She had lived on the Coast for the past 24 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Casson was a member of the Ocean Springs 1699 Historical Society and the Gulf Coast Antique Dealers Association. She was named Ocean Springs Business Woman of the Year for 1976. She was a former member of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Mrs. Casson was active with the Ocean Springs City Historical Committee, the Cub Scouts and summer youth activity programs. She had assisted her husband, the Rev. Ed. Casson, in starting churches in Puerto Rico, Germany and in the United States.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Ed Casson of Ocean Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Jan Stewart of Washington, D.C.; one son, Mark Casson of Ocean Springs; one brother, Larry White of Wewahitchka, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 9 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
