The Rev. Mark Alan Niederbrock, 50, of Pamplin, Va., died tragically Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 along with his wife, Debra Sue Kelley and daughter, Emma Kelley Niederbrock.

Born in Benton on March 20, 1959, Mark was the son of Janise (Jan) Somers Niederbrock of Champaign and the late David Ray Niederbrock.

Mark was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the University of Illinois with a major in the study of photography. He received a Master's of Divinity from Union Seminary in Richmond, Va., and was serving as the pastor of Walkers Presbyterian Church, where he was loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lynnette Niederbrock; and his grandparents, Clarence and Alene Somers and Otto and Elenore Niederbrock.

A celebration of Mark's life was held Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, in Walker's Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Pamplin, Va. Visitation was Monday at Robinson Funeral Home in Appomattox, Va.

The family requests that memorials be made to Walkers Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1127, Pamplin, VA 23958.
