Larry Miller

Frankfort Larry Doyle Miller, age 55, passed away Sunday, January 20th, at his residence. He was the son of Edmond Miller and the late Pearl Carolyn Wright Miller. Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, he graduated from Franklin County High School in 1970. He worked for Columbia Gas for the last 27 years. At the time of his death he was a Utility Representative. Prior to that, he worked for Fischel Line Construction.
Mr. Miller enjoyed life to the fullest and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping and traveling. He was past president of the Kentucky River Campground Mudcats. He was a member of Buck Run Baptist Church.
Survivors, who will miss him greatly, are his beloved wife of 22 years, Pamela Jo Dempsey Miller; son, Dwayne Miller (Stacey) of Frankfort; daughters, Crystal Elaine Thompson (Kenny) of Lawrenceburg, and Amy Jo Dempsey Sadler (Jason) of Frankfort; grandchildren, Brett and Kennedi Thompson of Lawrenceburg; Zackery Miller and Lily McQueen; Abigail and Bryan Sadler of Frankfort. He is also survived by his father and stepmother, Edmond and Lorraine Miller of Frankfort and his brothers Eddie Miller (Donna), Bruce Miller (Pam) of Frankfort and Tim Miller of Lawrenceburg. Other survivors include several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Simpson will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Woodford County. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Bishop, Michael R. Harrod, Don Dempsey, Alva Robinson, Harrison Robinson and Steve Vanoy. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Miller Jr., Brian Miller, Bradley Miller, Toby Sacre, Chris Harrod and Steve Dempsey.
Donations may be made in Mr. Miller's memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
