PROVIDENCE, RI — Justin John Cordeiro, 20, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the son of John and Heather (Medeiros) Cordeiro.
He was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and was employed at Blount Fine Foods.
Justin enjoyed playing baseball and football in his earlier years, and was a huge and avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. His "Ford Mustang" and his daughter was the love of his life. One of his favorite pastimes was racing.
Survivors include his parents; his daughter, Emily Hall; a brother, Austin Cordeiro and his sister, Ashlee Cordeiro, both of New Bedford; his maternal grandfather, Louis Pedra and his maternal step-grandfather, Manuel Nunez, both of New Bedford; his paternal grandmother, Maria Cordeiro of New Bedford; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his close friends, Vaughn "Dutch" Gonsalves and Christopher Botelho, both of New Bedford.
He was the grandson of the late Patricia Nunez and Jose Cordeiro.
Visitation will be Monday evening 5-8 PM at Rock Funeral Home. His Funeral Services will be in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
