Mrs. Lucinda Weis Stucki was born on July 6, 1852 at Canton, Ohio, and passed away on May 23, 1933 iat the ripe old age of 80 years, 10 months, and 23 days.
At an early age she with her parents moved to Mishawaka, Indiana, and at the age of 14 she came to Berne Minnesota where she resided until her death.
On January 5, 1873, she was united in marriage to John F. Stucki, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1920. This union was blessed with ten children; Mrs. Emma Yennie, William, Earl, Louis and Miss Elma all of Berne; Frank of Fergus Falls; Emmett of Ogilvie; Joseph of Douglas, Arizona; and freddy who passed away in infancy.
Besides the children, she leaves to mourn her departure; 26 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Harvey Weis of Pine Island, and one sister, Mary Bryson, living in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 1, from the home at 12:30 and at 1:00 from the Berne Church od which Mrs. Stucki had been a member for many years. Rev. J. Hoffman conducted the services. Burial was made in the Berne Cemetery with undertaker McGowan of West Concord in charge of all the arrangements.
