Singer. Along with her sisters, Gloria and Esther, they formed the Ridgeway Sisters, a popular Detroit vocal trio in the late 1970's and early 1980's.They were session singers who sang background vocals for such artists as Aretha Franklin ('A Rose Is Still A Rose'), Nancy Wilson ('If I Had My Way'), Vesta ('Everything And More') and Anita Baker ('You Are My Everything'). The group performed in the film "Blues Brothers 2000" with Aretha Franklin and provided background vocals for Jerry Butler and Dionne Warwick on a PBS special, "R&B Soul Spectacular". Gracie died from complications of scleroderma. She was preceded in death by her younger sister Esther Ridgeway in 2003. (bio by: Brown Girl 33)
