Maret immigrated from Norway in 1881 with lots of people from their area including her parents Hans and Beret Ronningen, one sister Johanne,and her daughter Beret and Maret's new husband, Jacob, and his two sons or so. They came to the Baldwin, WI area to join at least two of Maret sisters, Beret Stene and Johannah Throndson who had emmigrated with ther families earlier.
