Mr. Dimmig was born September 9,1918 in Hamilton Township, the son of Chris W. and Emma (Suchert) Dimmig. He farmed in the Walnut area with his brother Duane Dimmig until his retirement. He was a former memeber of the Havanna Gun Club and the Farm Bureau. He loved gardening and his neighbors.
He is survived by one brother, Francis Dimmig of Milton, Wisconsin; two sisters, Betty Renner of Walnut, illinois and Lois(Gene) Johnson of Princeton, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Anita and Dolly dimmig, both of Walnut, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Willard, Dick and Duane Dimmig, and one sister, Viola Foote.
Private funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Walnut Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his membory to the Walnut Fire Department in lieu of food and flowers. Arrangements were completed by the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut.
