Ed was the son of George Gebbie Finley and Theresa Veronica Bloomfield. He married Anna Ruth "Marge" Morgan, and they were the parents of Karen Suzanne (md. Stephen Walter Carroll), Robert Francis (md. Jeanie Hirose), Kathleen Marie (md. John M. Granger), and David Edward (md. Katherine Louise Llamas).

Ed served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He was part of the 48th Bombardment Squadron. As a flight engineer-gunner, he flew over fifty missions from our base in Okinawa.

Ed was a lifetime member of the Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1. He retired from G.E./Honeywell after forty-two years of faithful employment.
