"Lois Oleta David Delamar, age 93, of Camden, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, in the Valley Oaks Rehab & Nursing at Camden.
"Born June 8, 1911 at Leola, she was a daughter of the late James Louis and Elizabeth Elvira McCaskell David.
"She was active in the Extension Homemakers Club.
"After the death of her husband Gale at a young age, she worked at the Sparkman Clinic for many years as bookkeeper, and nurse and delivered many babies in the doctors' absence. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Sparkman Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a member of the Sparkman PTA, a homeroom mother, a member of the church missionary groups and worked on the Sparkman Beautification program. She was instrumental in obtaining the Sparkman Senior Center and was the director for many years.
"Other than her parents and hucband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, jack, Parl, J.L. and Richard David and one sister, Bernice Bugh.
"Survivors include five daughters, Olene Patterson of Camden, Betty matthews and husband, Jim, and Doris Mann and husband, Bill, all of Sparkman; Judith Abbott and husband, William, of London, AR and Paula Jackson and husband, Jim, of Sarepta, LA; one sister, Marjorie Hubbard of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
"Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, may 3, in the Cullendale Baptist Church at Camden with Bro. Jimmy Burks and Bro. Phillip Salmon officiating. Burial was in Delamar Cemetery neat Manning by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
"Memorials may be made to the Cullendale Baptist Church Building Fund or the Delamar Cemetery."
