Born about 1726 in Plumstead Twp. Son of Esther Dillon and Israel Doan(4), Daniel(3), Daniel(2), Deacon John Doane(1). Married about 1750 to Hester Forman Vickers. Died at 92 years. He was a carpenter. Owned 2 farms and speculated in lands. Lived south of Plumsteadville. He was a Loyalist during the Revolutionary War. Involved in the robbery at Newtown, PA on 22 Oct 1781. His hand was burned, and he spent 6 months in jail. Died at Joseph Jr's home. His religious affiliation was Friends.
