World War 1 Vet.
My dad was known through out his life as Burr. He was born in a little place Called Wawawai on the Snake River in Washington state. He grew up there and as an adult he worked road construction working on the LoLo pass and many roads in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. In 1918 he was in Camas, Idaho when he joined the army. He served in France. After the war he came home married Hazel Moe and raised his family. They later divorced and he married Maud Garrett in Portland,Oregon.
Dad loved his baseball. He was a fan of the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League back in the day.
