Danny Wayne Davis, of Dixon, was born on December 28, 1971, at Waynes-ville, a son of Ernest and Gayle Marie Crews Davis, and departed this life on Friday morning, June 26, 1998, at his residence. Danny had attained the age of 26 years, five months, and 28 days.
Danny was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Louis Davis on June 17, 1986 and his paternal grandparents, Josh and Maggie Davis.
Danny attended Dixon Public Schools and was employed at Bear Trailer Manufacturing Company, Lebanon, as an assembly line worker.
Those left to mourn his passing include, his father: Ernest Davis, Dixon; his mother: Gayle Crews, Dixon; his maternal grandparents: Leman and Dorothy Crews, Dixon; one brother: George Davis, Dixon; four sisters: Ann Tate and Fran Raiford, both of Pocatauleo, LA, Paula Davis, St. James and Brenda Davis, Dixon; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted for Danny at 11:00 a.m., on Monday morning, June 29, 1998, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with Rev. Tom Maples, pastor, Sheppard Baptist Church, Dixon, officiating. "In The Garden" and "Jesus Loves Me" were sung for the funeral service.
Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery near Dixon. Pallbearers were: Bradley Campbell, Paul Wiles, Chris Faye, Fred Knight, Donnie Alexander and Steve Vineyard. Honorary pallbearers were Joey Veasman, Vincent Warts, and Paul Bull.
