JOSEPH ALPHONSO WILDER,the son of the late Milton and Henrietta Wilder was born July 18, 1933, in Franklinton, North Carolina. He departed this life on Friday, January 22, 2016.

Joseph was a fun loving man who loved to make everyone around him laugh. He was strong, fearless, quick witted, loved to help others and fast to forgive.

Joseph served his family and country in the United States Army. Joseph Alphonso Wilder loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved GOD, and he loved his family and friends.

Joseph leaves to rejoice in his memory: his wife of 50 years, Jessie Wilder; daughters, Tanda and Thelma; grandchildren, Amir, Tashir, and Takiyah; great-granddaughter: Sariyah; brothers, Milton and Charles; sister: Marian; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Joseph is predeceased by: his daughter, Debbie; siblings, Mazie, Deborah, Donnell, Lawrence, and Warren.

Funeral services will be Noon, Thursday, January 28, 2016, Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 10AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
