Sgt. in Company B of the 101 Regiment of Ohio.

Allen Miller Curran was married to Hannah Elizabeth Smith on 4 March 1852. They had one son named Harry Dwight Curran and a daughter, Emma Uletta Curran, who died in infancy. Elizabeth died 21 July 1856 leaving Allen Miller alone with a very young child. On 27 Nov 1857, he married again to Mary Elizabeth Moulton. Together they had 4 known children: Nettie Curran, Howard Curran, Jay Curran and Inez Curran. The family moved from Indiana to Michigan and then settled in Ohio. He worked as a carpenter and specialized in making chairs. On 30 Nov 1883, he lost his wife. He continued to live in the area until he could no longer care for himself. He then moved to the Ohio State Soldiers & Sailors Home where his lived out the rest of his days. Records show his headstone was provided by Lee Stoneworks on March 29, 1902.
