1957 ~ 2003

Loving father, son, sibling, friend passed away June 4, 2003 from a brain aneurysm.

Born Dec. 14, 1957 in Murray, UT to Lawrence James and Wanda Layton Thompson. Rodney was a truck driver for 25+ years. He had the rare satisfaction of actually enjoying his work. He was currently employed at USF Reddaway. He knew how to bring humor to any situation, and was usually the life of any gathering. He brought the child out of everyone. He will be missed.

Survived by his mom, Wanda (Jerry) Siler, daughter Tara, sons, Nathan (Jessica) Wright and Adam (Miranda) Wright, brothers Larry (Jane) and David, sisters, Margaret (John) Yancey, Cindy (LaVor) Bristol, and Terri (Rick) Bingle, grandsons, Dillon and Tegan, nieces and nephews all who adored Uncle Rod.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 12 noon at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So. A viewing for friends and family will be held Friday, June 6, 2003 from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
