MSgt. Daniel M. Lynch (U.S.M.C. Retired), died on July 27, 2008, at home after a long illness. Danny was born on May 18, 1930, in New York City. Danny served his country throughout his life. His tours of duty included the Korean War, Okinawa and the Vietnam War. Danny retired from the Marine Corps on July 31, 1968. He then worked for civil service until his retirement in October of 1990. Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vivian, his three sons and daughter, Michael, Patrick (wife Cindy), Brian, and Debora (husband Barney). Danny was also lucky enough to have five grandchildren, Sean, Casandra, Vivianne, Brennan, and Catherine. Public Viewing Monday, August 4th, 4-8 p.m., at Clairemont Mortuary, 4266 Mt. Abernathy Ave. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Services at St. Catherine Laboure, Wednesday, August 6th, 12 p.m. on Mt. Alifan Dr. Following the Service, he will be laid to rest at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery at 2 p.m.
