William Toliver Wallace was born February 10, 1849 in Johnson County, Arkansas to the Reverend Vincent and Ruth Suggs Wallace.
He passed from this life on May 13,1935 in Van Buren, Arkansas, at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 3 days.

He was raised on a farm in Johnson County.
In 1869, at the age of twenty, he taught one of the first schools under the free school system ever taught in Johnson County, Arkansas. He continued to teach until 1875 the year of his marriage. He married Miss Elizabeth "Lizzie" Smith, daughter of Alvis Smith of Van Buren.
In 1876, for four years, he attended bar for his father-in-law, at the end of which time he established a retail liquor store of his own.
Later in life he became a farmer.

He was the father of ; Vincent Alvis, Sidney Orren, Carrie May, Thomas L. , Sallie Smith, William T, Jr, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Lavelle, James Dibrell, Vera Jane and an infant son that died after birth.

Funeral services were held at Ocker Memorial Chapel on May 15, 1935 with the Rev. Elmus Brown officiating.

He was buried at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas.
