Prior to joining the Yellow Cab Co. in 1948, Mr. Barnett had been a merchandiser for the Continental Oil Co. in Missouri and Kansas for many years.
In the early 20s Woodson Barnett became one of Central High Schools all time football greats. He was an outstanding end of several of the best teams Central ever produced.
Survivors of Mr. Barnett are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Barnett, Assistant director of nursing service at Missouri Methodist Hospital; a stepdaughter, Miss Nancy Gadler, and his mother. Mrs. Maim Barnett, all of the home, and a nephew, Blair Carmichael, Fulton, Mo.
He was a member of Zeredatha Lodge No. 189, A. F. and A. M. and Moila Temple and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
