FORMER RESIDENT SUCCUMBS
Mrs. Lillian E Thompson, formerly of Oil City, died at 6 am Sunday in Mountain State Nursing Home at Charleston, W. Va.
She was born July 16, 1882 in Venus, Pinegrove Township, a daughter of David and Hanna Thompson.
She was married to L. E. Goodman, who preceded her in death in 1930, and she later married Harry E. Thompson, who died in 1947.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Oil City.
Surviving are one son, Carl B. Goodman of Oil City; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Gladys) Ashworth of Charleston, W. Va., nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Harry and Leo Goodman, preceded her in death.
A vesper service will be held at the Parker-Johnson Funeral Home in Charleston.
Removal will then be made to the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday.
funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday in the funeral home. Rev. W. Dale Thorne, pastor of the Willow Street Free Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
