Ralph Matheny Jr., 72, of Camp Verde, died Oct. 15, 2005. Ralph was born in Hornbeak, Tenn., on Dec. 22, 1932.

A retired farmer, Ralph was also a U.S. Army veteran. Ralph was involved in many organizations, including B.P.O.E. (Elks) Past Exalted Ruler, Yuma #476, Past Exalted Ruler, Jerome Lodge #1361, El Zaribah Shriners, Central Arizona Lodge #14, Past President Mingus Mountain Shriner Club, and American Legion Post 93.

Ralph is survived by his wife Jeanette, daughters Janice O'Neal, Sharon Murray, Carolyn McKelvey Malouff, and sons Ralph Matheny III and Steve McKelvey. He is also survived by his sisters Edna Parks, Iva Sue Ring, Peggy Newman, Wilma Roberts, Pam Stratton, and Toni Ricketts and by brothers Ramon, Damon, Leroy, Jimmy, Richard, and Roger Matheny, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Adell Matheny and his grandparents John Henry Matheny and Vizzie Matheny.

Services are today, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, Fifth and Hollamon in Camp Verde.
