James Riley Manley

After being treated two months at the University hospital in Iowa City for old age ailments, James R. Manley of Urbana, 75 years old, died there early this morning. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Mr. Manley was born in Linn county, Iowa, April 18, 1858. He was the last of a large family. He had lived in this community all his life. For thirty-seven years he had resided on his farm two miles south of here. His marriage to Catherine Caldwell occurred on March 27, 1884. The widow survives.

Three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Manley are: Mrs. D. Hunter of Center Point, Lewis Manley living on the home place, and Mrs. Frances Martin, who preceded the father in death. The family includes seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One grandson, Forrest Martin, was reared by his grandparents.
