Darold Fred Browning, 51, passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2007 in his Syracuse, Utah home. Darold was born Nov. 24, 1955, Hunter AFB, Savannah, Ga. to Ralph Homer Browning and Vernie Mae Bowman Browning.
On July 22, 1984, Darold married Deanne Pitzak in Las Vegas, Nev. Darold worked in construction most of his life with Eddy L. Shaw Construction and more recently Kastle Rock Excavation.
He was an avid NASCAR and drag racing fan and a loyal Georgia Bulldog supporter. He had a passion for baseball and football as well. He loved the outdoors and having barbeques with his family and friends.
Darold was outgoing and friendly to everyone he came in contact with and has collected numerous loyal friends. Darold adored his daughter, Katie Nicole who was born Jan. 23, 1985.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deanne, daughter, Katie, mother, Vernie Browning, Warner Robins, Ga.; his aunts and uncles, Ray and Jean Williams, Harless and Deloris Mitchem, Leroy and Brenda Bowman and Clifford and Brenda Bowman, all of Abbs Valley, Va., Peggy Bowman, New York, Linda Browning, Sparta, N.C., Nelda Quesenberry, Cleveland, Ohio, Donnie Lambert, Princeton; and numerous cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: His grandparents, Robert and Eula Browning, "Granny" Dorothy East and aunt, Margaret Lambert.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Pocahontas Funeral Home, Pocahontas, Va. with Michael Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Friends may call on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
