Beloin Raymon Lawton , age 93, died in a Tooele care center. He was the son of Eula Verle Broughton and Fred Ernest Lawton. He later changed his name and took the last name of his stepfather, Raymond Belven Harrison.
He married Ruth Viola Nelson on January 29,1938 at Mission, San Bernardino, CA.
He was raised a Master Mason in Idaho Falls, Idaho on June 3 1957. Ray attained 32nd degree with that same year. He was given a lifetime membership by the Green River, UT Lodge.
He spent his working years on various interesting jobs as a heavy equipment mechanic on Pine Flat Dam,CA, Great American Canal,CA, Palisades Dam in Idaho, the railroad causeway across the Great Salt Lake and Flaming Gorge Dam,UT.
He survived by nine children: Charlene R. Olorenshaw (Joe), R. Lucille Hatfield, Charles R. Harrison (Neva), Raelene R. Powell (Kent), Dan R. Harrison (Shawnee), Chrys R. Harrison, Royal R. Harrison (Jill), R. Ed Harrison (Judy), and Viola R. Harrison. 28 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth V. Nelson, Granddaughter, Celia Ann Graft and his favorite Aunt Ruby.
A viewing was held at Tate Mortuary at 9 AM with a funeral service following. Interment was in Tooele City Cemetery with his wife's ashes.
