Dennis Wayne Belanger, 51, of Indian River; passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Indian River United Methodist Church. Pastor Gary Step officiated.
Denny was born January 20, 1960 in Flint, MI. He was the son of Leonard and Pearl (Campbell) Belanger. He grew up in Clio where he graduated from high school in 1979.
On March 14, 1998, Denny married Kathy Mercier in Indian River and the couple made their home in Bedford Township, MI.
He owned and operated Dennis Belanger Concrete, L.L.C. in Bedford Township. In 2000 he and Kathy moved to Indian River where he has continued his concrete business, of which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Denny's greatest joy in life is the blended family that he and Kathy formed. He loved the out of doors, especially being out on the lake catching perch, and was affectionately known as "Perchie". He loved hunting in Kenton, Ml, located in the upper peninsula.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy and their three children, Jennifer Bunker of Indian River, Craig (Angela) Hull of Whitmore Lake, Ml, Kari Nichole Hull of Toledo, OH.; grandchildren, Johnathan, Emily, Addison, Gavin and Parker; mother, Pearl Grablic of Clio, MI; siblings, Connie Belanger, Dan (Pam) Belanger, Cindy (Keith) Timbs, Randy (Michelle) Belanger, Michael Belanger and Marci Donovan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Belanger and his nephew, Jason Belanger.
Denny was loved by all. We will love you always and forever.
