Martin Laye (Loy) (Ley)

Martin was the first of the Loy Family to arrive in the United States

He arrived in Philadelphia on 26 Sept 1741 on the ship "St. Mark" from the Palatinate. (Palatinate is a large region of Southwestern Germany.)

After 35 years my Loy research, and German studies, I find nothing proven to show Martin's birth year, burial (just speculation), parentage, nor if he had a wife other than Catherine. The closest evidence of any sibling is that of Noah Loy (b.1879 Adair C...(Read more)
