A Chinese-American teenager, he had long-dreamed of getting his driver's license and owning a luxurious Mercedes-Benz. Unfortunately, while attending school in Hong Kong as a foreign exchange student, he passed away from an unspecified illness. His remains were sent over to New Jersey, where his millionaire-older brother David resided at the time. Being told to fulfill his last wish by Ray himself shortly before his untimely death, David ordered a $250K ($461,435 in 2020 dollars) massive block of granite to be carved into a 1982 Mercedes-Benz 240 Diesel limousine, which took the Rock of Ages Quarry of Graniteville, Vermont around 17-18 months to complete. After its completion in August of 1983, it was installed behind the mausoleum where Ray is interred.
