EVANSDALE --- Faith E. Betts, 73, of Evansdale, died Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born on July 1, 1930, in Afton, Iowa. Faith married Phillip D. Betts on April 22, 1948, in Osage.

Faith enjoyed camping at blue-grass festivals with her beloved husband of 55 years. She was a member of Cedar Valley Community Church where she was very devoted in her faith and a member of the women's fellowship. Her family enjoyed her numerous sewing and craft projects. Faith loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Larry D. (JoAnn) Betts of Clarksville; two daughters, Patricia A. (James) Cook from Waterloo, Bonita M. (William) Wiegert of Stanley; five grandchildren, Kelly Cook, Korey Cook and Jaime Christensen, all of Waterloo, Aaron Betts of Waverly and Jeremy Betts of Cedar Falls; three great-grandchildren, Brett, Dalton and Brodie; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Valley Community Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, and for an hour prior to service time at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family or Cedar Valley Hospice.
