ENZO DIREGOLO APRIL 24, 1921 ~ MARCH 13, 2007 Passed away March 13, 2007 in Castro Valley at the age of 85. Enzo was born in Bozzano, Italy April 24, 1921 to Joseph and Marianna DiRegolo. He came to the United States when he was 9 years old and lived in Healdsburg until he was 18 when he moved to San Francisco. In 1945, he joined the ARMY and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1946. On June 10, 1945, he married his childhood sweetheart Giovanna "Joan" Giusti. With no high school education, he started two Terrazzo companies and later became a Superintendent for American Terrazzo. In 1963, he went into business with his brothers, Gus and Carlo and two associates, and formed Terracon Corp. in Hayward in which he was President. He retired in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan, his daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Ralph Marinai , and son, John DiRegolo. Grandchildren Jeffery and Danielle Marinai, Donna Marinai, and Brian DiRegolo; his great-grandchildren, Dominic and Giuliana Marinai; his brother, Carlo DiRegolo and wife, Val; sister, Mary Pedroni; and sister-in-law, Janet DiRegolo, and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Paul and Augustino "Gus" DiRegolo. Enzo enjoyed his house in South Lake Tahoe, gardening, but mostly being with his family. Family and friends are invited to attend a vigil on Sunday, March 18, 2007 commencing 3:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Funeral and Cremation Center, 1051 Harder Rd., Hayward, CA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 19th at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 22824 Second St., Hayward. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward. Visiting hours will begin on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the mortuary. FD-1456.
