Janice Ruth Nicks Green, 75, formally of Pine Bluff, died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born March 20, 1926 in the Swan Lake Community to the late Quinton Doak and Sarah Esther Bethel Nicks.
Mrs. Green was reared and educated in Jefferson County where she attended school. She married Veo Edwin Green on March 29, 1941, at her mothers home in Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Green was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a member of Pine Bluff Christian Church and Oakland Hights Assembly of God in Russellville.
Mrs. Green is survived by her sons; Timothy Edwin Green of Russellville, Michael Vincent Green of El Dorado, a daughter; Judith Ann Green Sutton of Sherwood, brothers; Dan W. Nicks of Devine, Texas, Bruce Nicks of Rison, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson's. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 28, 2001 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Roy Chisum officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery at Grapevine.
