Arthur Schuldt officiating. The pallbearers were W. A. Thayer, Henry Willingham, Robert Mulroney, J. W. Sharp, C. W. Beck and L. H. Bauck. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. Miss Murrah Weaver was born September 27, 1858, at Dakota, Ill. She was married to John A. Fournier in 1880. One daughter, Bertha, now Mrs. T. F. Rutledge of Emmetsburg, was born to them. Mr. Fournier passed away at Freeport, Ill., in 1886. In the year 1899 the deceased came to Emmetsburg and resided here until death where she was very active in Methodist church and Eastern Star circles so long as her health permitted. On April 10, 1924, she was married to W. J. McCarty of Emmetsburg.
In addition to her widower and daughter, the following survive: three grandchildren, Thomas Rutledge Jr., and Jack Rutledge of Emmetsburg and Mrs. Joseph Early of Des Moines, one great grandchild of Emmetsburg, two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Butterfield of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. A. T. McElhiney of Los Angeles, Cal. In the death of Mrs. McCarty there is removed from Emmetsburg a worth character who was for many years prominent in the religious and social life of the community. Sincere sympathy is extended to those from whom she has been taken.
