Earl Mc Arthur Alling is living with his father at his Alling Grandparents Home in Guthrie Oklahoma - After his mother's death on October 30, 1918 - in the U. S. Census of 1920.

The young Earl McArthur Alling would never know his Maternal Grandfather, Walter A. McArthur, as he had passed away shortly after arriving in Guthrie Oklahoma at the age of 45 years old in 1911, five years before Earl was born.

The family must have been devastated by the early loss.
He is buried in Guthrie, Summit View, Logan County, Oklahoma, USA and it must have been hard on The Family to lose another family member in 1918. -

Then at that time Mr. John W. Alling to have a two year old, son who lost his mother at age two.

Edith C. McArthur Alling passing away in 1918, during the terrible two's & teathing, as some today, still call it, in 2011. How confusing for Earl not to see her anymore.

Grandma Lydia McArthur dealing with another painful loss of another family member of her Daughter.
Lydia may have been moving around Guthrie during this time period?
.

His Grandmother Lydia "Anna" Or "Annie" Davis - Was Probably was remarried to Mr. Leonard (Arthur) - Johnson,
And they were probably Still living in or around Guthrie – at the time, because her other daughter - And Earl's Aunt -Gets Married when Earl was about age 4 years 4 mo's old.

Miss Maude Estella Mc Arthur –
Marries on 27 Mar 1921 – at the Guthrie, Nazarene Church, Logan County, Oklahoma, USA - To Mr. George Henry Hutson - Aka Jack Hutson. Did he call him Uncle Jack? Maybe later on. - She was living at: 823 West Logan Street in Guthrie, Oklahoma, at the time - Per her Marriage Application.

Jack Hutson's father Samuel Forrest Hutson - being a Carpenter by trade, - returning back to Oklahoma from Kansas, and from Hemphill County, Texas, to work on the Masonic Temple in Guthrie Oklahoma.
He probably worked on the old temple, and the new temple.
The Hutson Family Rented a farm in Burrington, Harvey County, Kansas, USA on March 1, 1905.

In Dec 24 1922 In Guthrie - at age 6 -
Earl M. Alling - He would have a new First Cousin - Kenneth Edward Hutson - From his Aunt Maude and Uncle Jack Hutson.
Now His Grandma Lydia has two grandsons to look after.
-
Later on about 1925 when Earl was age 9, - Ken Hutson at age 3 get kicked in the head by a horse, after using a switch to make it go, and almost dies from his injuries, but makes a slow recovery in Rose Hill Township.
The fallowing year Earl M. Alling passed away.
Young Earl - He Dies at age 10 years old.

It is not even clear how much, or how little these, next few people were in young Earl's life between the years of: 1916 - 1926.
Earl M. Alling's - Uncle Archie - was almost thirteen or was 13 when in 1911, The McArthur Family moved to Guthrie from Vernon Texas, and he was Eighteen years old when Earl M. Alling was born. Archie was only four years younger than John W. Alling - Earl's father.

While Jack Hutson was probably still off at war in WW 1 from: 2/23 1917 to 3/29/1920... That began in the summer of 1914 and lasted until November 1918. - It is not clear to me if Archie or John was in that conflict, or not, I would say not for John W. Alling. However I could wrong about that.

Anyway by 28 Sep 1923,
Uncle Archie gets married at:
Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, USA –
