Gertrude E. Miller dies at Rockford
Mrs. Gertrude E. Miller, 76, wife of Carl M. Miller, who resided two miles north and one-half mile west of Chattanooga, O., died at 4 a.m. Sunday at the Smith nursing home, Rockford, O. She had been bedfast three months.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church at Chattanooga.
She was born in Jefferson township on Nov. 3, 1896, the daughter of Phillip and Pearl Reid-Brewster, and was married to Carl F. Miller, who survives.
Other survivors include seven children, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Werner, Harmony, Pa.; Emilene Weits, route 1, Rockford; Mrs. Paul (Catherine) Eichler, route 3 Rockford; C. LaVerne Miller, Monroe; Kenneth E. Miller, Highland; Anna Lou Kosier, route 1, Wilshire; Herbert M. Miller, Route 1, Rockford; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Dudgeon, route 2, Geneva; Mrs. Arley (Elva) Ellenberger, Ceylon; Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Weaver, route 2, Geneva; one brother, Dore Brewster, route 2, Geneva; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One sister, two brothers and one daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran church at Chattanooga, with Rev. Ralph Hershberger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Yager funeral home, Berne, after 2 p.m. today and until 1 p.m. Tuesday.
