The memorial service to celebrate the life of Gregory Lee Allen will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Flint Hills Community Church at the south edge of Cottonwood Falls on Highway 177. The Rev. Larry Timm will conduct the service. Mr. Allen was cremated. The private family inurnment will be held in Cedar Point Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions to Camp Wood YMCA for summer camp scholarships may be sent in care of the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.

Mr. Allen died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at his mother's home in Cedar Point. He was 56.
He was an over-the-road trucker, hauling livestock and hay.
The son of Lee E. and Yvonne Carpenter Allen, he was born April 21, 1951, at Wichita. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1969.
Mr. Allen is survived by a son, Justin Lee Allen of Council Grove; his mother of Cedar Point; and three grandchildren. His father died Aug. 11, 1999.
