============================
Deborah Blakeslee was born on March 15, 1718 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was the daughter of John and Lydia Blakeslee. She married John Alcott, the son of John Alcott and Susannah Heaton, on January 14, 1730. They were married by the Rev. Isaac Stiles of North Haven. They moved to Waterbury, Connecticut, and in the spring of 1731, to the remote Spindle Hill area of Waterbury, later known as Wolcott. She was known as the Queen Bride of Wolcott, because she was the first bride residing within it's limits. They had twelve children. John died January 6, 1777 and Deborah died January 7, 1789. Both are buried in the Edgewood Cemetery in Wolcott.
