He was the father of Mary E. Borneman and Warren C. Borneman, both of Eureka, and Harold J. Borneman, Spokane, Wash.
He was the grandfather of James K. Borneman, Texas; Susan M. Lee, Canada; Lucinda E. Borneman, Maryland; Harold John Borneman Jr., Jane L. Borneman and Ann M Borneman, all of Spokane.
He is survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A native of Belmont, Iowa, Mr. Borneman was a veteran of World War I and had been an accountant and salesman for several businessmen in Eureka. He spent many years with the Verne Johnson Co. and had worked for numerous years with the auditors office of Humboldt County before retiring in 1969. He was a past commander of the Fort Humboldt Post of the American Legion and a longtime member of the Eureka Volunteer Fire Department, Hook and Ladder Co., and a member of A.A.R.P.
The funeral has been arranged for Tuesday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at the chapel at Pierce Mortuary with the Rev. Kenneth Samuelson officiating. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
Casketbearers will be Earle Johnson, Arthur Danielson, Fred Slack, Fred Thevenin, Robert Murray and Wesley Windsor.
The Family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 539 G St., Eureka, Calif. 95501 or to the American Cancer Society, 2107 Harrison Ave. Eureka.
